Adina Baseman Sharfstein
Adina Baseman Sharfstein is dynamic educator and songleader/cantorial soloist specializing in both traditional and contemporary Jewish music. Her unique songleading style is engaging and inclusive, encouraging active participation from people of all ages in congregations across South Florida. She has served generations of congregations in a variety of musical leadership positions for more than three decades. Additionally, she has served as the Religious School Music Director, Friday Night Live guitarist and vocalist for Temple Kol Ami Emanu-El in Plantation, Florida for the past 20 years. Her primary calling was as an educator of the Gifted for Broward County Public Schools for 32 years. She specializes in Holocaust studies, a passion that has evolved to include her role as a consultant and professional development facilitator on the topic.
Adina lives in Davie, Florida with her husband of 35 years, Rick, and they share twin sons who are newly “off the pay-roll” – Micah, who works in advertising in New York, and Ari, a Choir Director in Colorado.
